The 3rd and final episode of our holiday

It was a great morning on Sunday because when the kids woke up, the Easter Bunny had found them. They were so excited.
After church we went to Grandma and Grandpa's and had a really fun easter egg hunt and we went rolling easter egg. For those of you who are like Erick and don't know what rolling easter eggs is: It is a really fun tradition. We have done it every year since I can remember. You color your easter eggs, and then we always went up the canyon and found a good hill. Then you climb a pretty good distance and start rolling. It is so fun to have races and see who's goes the longest distance. Then you climb down and collect the ones that are still intact and do it again. It is really fun, but Erick had never heard of it when we got married, so slowly I am converting him!!! Ready for a great hunt!

Rolling our eggs! Wow, what a climb, but it was worth it!

Day 2 of our Easter

On Saturday we Drove up to Garland. The kids were so excited to get there they could hardly wait. When we got there we went to an easter egg hunt for the community. The kids didn't seem to mind, but it was FREEZING!!! the wind was blowing and it was a really cold wind. luckily the hunt didn't last long and in 20 minutes we were back in the car and on our way home. The rest of the day was spent playing at grandma's house with all the cousins with the exception of 2 cousins who were not there.

The kids colored easter eggs and then ate them for lunch. I think Bryn ate 5 eggs. For some reason they seems to taste so much better when they are colored easter eggs rather than just the plain white ones!!
The weather warmed up a lot throught the course of the day and they were able to go outside and have another easter eggs hunt that grandma did. With the nice weather the kids all wanted to be outside, and I could hardly get Kyler back in the house. It was such a nice day! With the days being numbered before we leave, anytime we can get all the kids together is great!!

Day 1 of our Easter festivities

On Friday We colored our easter eggs. The kids were so excited. I made the mistake of telling them we were going to color eggs before I had them boiled. So they were ready to color eggs, and I wasn't ready for them, so we distracted them for a few minutes while the eggs boiled, and then cooled and when we couldn't wait any longer we got the process started. But I think they would both agree it was worth waiting for.

mini vacation

We are home from our vacation to St. George. We all had so much fun, especially the kids. They loved staying in a hotel and Bryn thought the best part was being able to eat breakfast "At the Hotel"!!! On the way down the kids were so good. We didn't stop until we got to Beaver, at that was about 1:30. We got lunch at McDonalds and played in the toys area for about an hour. When we first got there, Erick was going to order so I took the kids to play. There was a really big slide that was a tunnel the whole way down. I watched Bryn climb up really fast and then she just waited for Kyler at the top. Pretty soon here came Kyler out the slide. It was unusually quite in there for a McDonalds play place, so you could here just about everything, so I thought it was really funny when all of a sudden Bryn YELLED "how was it buddy, is it safe?" I thought that was so funny that she sent her little brother down to check things out and then when he okayed things here she came. It's a good thing we have a brave little boy to protect his sister.
The rest of the trip was really fun, we went swimming, bowling, to a movie, shopping and more shopping. We even found time to play soccer/basketball at a park. The kids were really sad when Grandma and Grandpa left. They kept asking where they were and when we would tell them they went home, Kyler couldn't figure out why and kept asking, "Why?" he never accepted the answers I would give him, but when Bryn would tell him the same thing that I had been telling him for 5 or 6 times he would say, "Oh yea."
We are glad to be home however, where we all sleep better, especially the kids. I think they just get so excited about being on vacation, they can't sleep. It was fun to get away for a couple days and just relax and play. Things are always so much less stressful when you get away.

Future Baker in the making

The other day Kyler and I were making bread. Thnigs were going really well. He was so happy and content with his little piece of dough. I got him a small bread pan and he had everything that mom had. Then right in th middle I left to go change the laundry and when I came back around the corner Kyler was in the flour sack. He was covered in Flour and his pan was full of flour. As soon as he saw me, he started talking 100 mph about how he needed more flour and he was making bread like mom. It was so funny. So I got a few pictures and then he needed the rolling pin. I think he changed directions from bread to rolls half way through! Anyway when he got it all fixed he wanted it baked. I put it in the oven, and after only a few minutes he was convinced it was done cooking and ready to eat.

It is a pretty sorry looking loaf of bread, but he was very proud of it. Either way we had a good time, and we got some bread made.

Where did that come from?

Last night we were all at the dinner table, and Kyler said, " Dad you make me so happy, you make me rice!" It was so cute, so unexpected. I love the cute little things kids say. And I think the worst thing is life is to get so busy with the everday things that we don't hear those cute little things they say. What a blessing both Kyler and Bryn are to our family.

Our future home in Dominica

We have finally secured a home in Dominica. After sending the deposit next day delivery, we were relieved when the money got there a week and a half later!!! I guess that is standard Caribbean time. Anyway here are some photos of the place. Bryn is very excited about the PINK bathroom and wants is to be hers!!

We have talked to a few people there that say the some is very nice, but it is up a very steep hill. So I guess we will find out how strong(or weak) I am when I try to push the stroller up it. We always have the option of renting or buying a vehicle once we get there. But apperently it will need to be 4 wheel drive!!!

So we will keep you posted right here of the "HUGE" hill and how we (I) fair with it!
