So the few of you who don't know; Bryn is having a going away party with her cousins(the girls anyway). She has wanted to have a party at sweet and sassy for her birthday ever since we got her hair cut there. And since we will not be here for her birthday we decided that we would do a going away party instead. She has just been so excited about this party she can hardly stand it. So last month I marked on her calander the day we were having the party. Every day she would get more excited becasue it was one day closer. And now that it is within counting distance we are just so excited. This morning before she left for school, she kept reassuring herself that it was only three days. The funny thing is she kept asking, but then she would have to count it for herself to make sure.

She picked the perfect princess party and I think it will be the perfect party for Her!!!
I will post about the big day after the weekend. Be sure to check back for all the action!

you happy?
Kyler is the cutest little boy ever and he has really started to talk a lot lately. I love all the cute little phrases he says, one of my favorite is, "mom, you happy?" So the other day for lunch we had some chips and ranch for dipping with our sandwiches. He was also having a few cheetos. He want to dip his cheetos in the ranch bowl. I told him not to, that if he wanted to dip I would put some on his plate. But of course he didn't want that. So I was eating and not really paying attention, but when I looked over he was just dipping his cheetos in the ranch and before I could say anything he hurried and said, "Mom you happy?" It was so funny, Erick had been watching him and he said that Kyler had been trying for a while to dip, but everytime I moved he would jerk his hand back. He had kept one eye on me and the other on the dip the whole time. Then all of a sudden he just dove for it and dipped. And of course it wasn't that big of a deal, I can always scoop the cheese out of the ranch, especially when he askes so cute if I am happy, OF COURSE I had to say, "YES!"

Bathroom Embarrassment
So the other day when I took Kyler to school I had a real good laugh! So I though I would share. Kyler had to go to the bathroom before we ever got to school (so bad that we couldn't hold his feet still in the car!!!), so as soon as we got in, I put his lunch in the fridge and headed to the bathroom. Another mother had come in right behind us with her daughter and headed for the bathroom as well. Before I go on I should explain that there are two toilets in one big room. the toilets are REALLY small for the kids and there are no dividers or doors between the toilets. So I took Kyler to the open one and pulled down his pants because of course he can't do anything, he is checking the girl out on the other toilet! So I ask him if he wants to sit or stand and he just started peeing, so I hurried and turned him to the toilet so I didn't have too much to clean up. However this opened the view for the girl on the throne next to us. She turned to her mom and said, "Look mom, Kyler is peeing from his tail!" Her mom was so embarrassed she tried to change the subject and ask her if she was done. But as we all know how kids are she was persistent, and said agian. "No look mom Kyler is peeing from his tail!" By now her mom's face coudn't get any redder and she says, "Come on lets go wash your hands!" And still, " Mom did you see....." but she was intereuped by her mother with a very fast, " okay we are all done, lets go."
I thought this was so funny and I laughed all day partly because it was just funny to hear, but also because I know exactly how that mom felt. It reminded me of Bryn when she was little. And even Kyler himself is getting to that age, when you just hold your breath and hope you can get out of an embarrassing situation (with as little heard by anyone else) brought on by a comment your kids make about something they see. Oh what a blessing kids are and especially when they allow you to have a good laugh at something that given a little bit older would not be funny to them!

The outside of our new house
April Fools
So Bryn had a lot of fun on April fools. She thought it was very funny to keep playing tricks on mom and dad and evern Kyler. As soon as she got home from school it started! It was a really fun day and we of course played along with it all day. But the funny thing is that when she woke up this morning she started again. So I tried to explain to her that you only play "April Fools" on April 1st. She coundn't see why we couldn't play it all month, "it is still April you know mom!" she said! So just like any other holiday for Bryn especially her birthday it is going to be a long year until next April fools!
