A visit back in October
It is so great to have visitors! Erick's mom and dad were able to come out for a visit in October. His dad had some work out here and his mom was able to come along. It was so nice to see them and spend some time together. It was conference weekend so we were able to watch that and Erick and his mom went to his choir practice Sunday evening. They also took us out to dinner one night which was a real treat! We really enjoyed spending some time with them and hope that his dad has work out here again real soon.
Here are a couple pictures I got while they were here:

WARNING!!!!! Very long catch up post........
So it seems that I have been neglecting my poor blog lately. I have had it on my to-do list for a while, but it just never happens. If anyone is still following us, I apologize for the break. I am going to do a big catch up post and will then try to stay on top of it a little better.
First of all, Erick is in his Surgery rotation and is loving it. He is working with two vascular surgeons and has had a lot of hands on experience. He works 7 days a week, most people would think that is horrible, he thinks it is GREAT!!! He is singing in a choir here that will be doing some Christmas concerts which we are all excited about. We have also heard they will be singing at the temple re-dedication. Koby is getting so big, he is now officially five months old. He is rolling all over the place and eating rice cereal. He loves Bryn and Kyler and all the entertaining they give him. He is such a happy baby and will give anyone a huge smile. I like to pretend he knows when I ask for a kiss, because he really plants one on you, however, I think if you just get close enough to his face he would do it weather you ask for a kiss or not!!! Bryn is loving school, she got all A's on her report card and one B which we all think is wonderful because she made the honor roll. She makes friends where ever she goes. She and Erick had their first Daddy-Daughter dance. It was a luau and they had a great time. She has a bunch of gentlemen callers that circle our house on their bikes when she is outside playing. However, she is oblivious to their efforts of getting her attention. She is a huge help to me with Koby. She loves to dance around the room with him which always makes him laugh, she can stand in front of him and dance around and entertain him for hours. Kyler is also loving school and does very well in class. He is starting to read and wants to tell us what letter EVERYTHING starts with. He always has a ball in his hands or kicking one with his foot. It doesn't matter what kind of ball, he likes them all. He loves to play with Koby and can't wait until Koby can wrestle with him. I have to remind him sometimes that he is not big enough yet, but he really loves his brother and always wants to give him kisses. I am still plugging away at my school work and will finish classes next summer. Then I will just have to student teach to finish up. Now for the fun part....

We also to a trip about 45 minutes north of us. Bryn has been learning in school about the state of Georgia and wanted to see some of the sites they have been learning about. This trip took us to tallulah gorge. It was beautiful. The leaves were changing and the temperature was perfect. We hiked down to a bridge that went over the waterfalls and then came back up. We were very close to South Carolina where Erick served his mission, and after we got back, he realized he had actually been to Tallulah gorge on his mission! Anyway, it was really fun.

Baptism
Bryn was baptized on September 4th 2010. She was baptized and confirmed by her dad! It was such a great day, we are so proud of her decision to be baptized and what a great example she is to her brothers.
We had a wonderful weekend. My mom and dad and grandma and grandpa were able to come out and spend a couple days with us. We celebrated my grandpa's birthday, played tennis and went swimming. Kyler and both grandpa's even squeezed in a game of memory.

8 years old.....
I am almost a month late posting this, I don't know where all my time has gone.......
Bryn turned 8 years old in August! I can't believe that it has been 8 years. For her birthday dinner she wanted Sloppy Joes and homemade mac and cheese. For dessert: banana splits:

Her birthday was on a Monday so she had school and then we did homework and had dinner. After dinner we played some games and she opened her present. A PINK tennis racket.
Bryn is such a sweet little girl. We love her so much and I don't know how her brothers would survive without her. She is always the one to go with Kyler to turn on the lights upstairs(sounds familiar!), she plays endless games with Kyler and Koby and knows just how to make Kyler happy when he is sad or upset. Bryn loves school, and makes friends very easily (something that has come in handy in her life). She Loves Pink and Purple and all kinds of books, crafts, make-up and anything that just screams GIRL!!! She is our little princess. I am so grateful for her, she is such a huge help to me with anything and everything around the house. She is an amazing swimmer and also likes to play tennis and now golf. Bryn brings so much happiness into our home and our lives. We love you Bryn.
That weekend, we had a party for her:

We went to a park and played a bunch of games and had cake. I was worried ice cream would melt, so it was just cake. It was a really fun day. She got lots of really fun things from all of our wonderful friends here in Atlanta!!

"I found my thumb"
So Koby has really been working on getting his thumb in his mouth and he finally found it. At first he would get in there but the other fingers would poke him in the eye or up his nose. Determination is the lesson we learned, keep trying and eventually it works out :) I am not sure he has done it since, but at least we got a picture of the one time it did work out!!!

The First Day of School
Bryn started second grade here in Georgia and Kyler is in Pre-K. They were both so excited the first day. It was almost like Christmas morning. They both got up about 5:30 and wanted to know if it was time to get ready! Bryn catches the bus at 7:20 and I take Kyler to his school at 8:20. So we had plenty of time to get ready that first morning!!
It is really quiet around the house all day, but I am getting a lot done and spending some great time with Koby!!
Bryn rode the bus home the first day and got off at the wrong stop, so after a slight heart attach on my part and many tears we all made it back home and things have been great ever since.
Here are the two boys just waiting until it is time to go.

A ladies man!!!!
Kyler is in school here in Georgia, they call it Georgia Pre-K and he is loving it. He goes everyday all day. At the center where he is, there are 3 pre-K classes. His Teacher is Ms. Kim and Ms. Marlene. Both very nice teachers. We couldn't be happier with the program. After the second week of school Kyler started telling me that all the girls were chasing him on the playground. Then he started to tell me that there was one girl who was in love with him named Haley. All he told me about her was that she was not in his class and that she was blonde (for here, that is not common :) ). He has been talking about her everyday after school and I didn't really think much of it. Then yesterday when I picked Kyler up from school his teacher told me she wanted to give me a compliment for Kyler. She said that he is such a sweet boy and really nice to have in class. I told her thank you and then she said, "And I wanted to tell you that all the other Pre-K teachers want to know who Kyler is because all the girls in their classes clean up really fast when it is time for recess so they can go see Kyler." Erick and I laughed about it last night and then today after school this was our conversation:
Kyler: Haley is in love with me.
Me: really?
Kyler: Yeah, and all the others girl too.
Me: All of the other girls?
Kyler: yeah except Jada
Me: Who's Jada?
Kyler: A girl (gil) in my class who doesn't like Haley.
Me: Why doesn't Jada like Haley?
Kyler: because I am with Haley.
Me: What does that mean, "Your WITH Haley?"
Kyler: You know, She's in love with me and I am in love with her!
Me: How do you know that is why Jada doesn't like Haley?
Kyler: Because she said, "I can't be your friend because you are with Haley."
Me: Are you in love with Haley?
Kyler: Yea, but I didn't tell anyone. Jada just knows.
Oh can the drama really be starting in Pre-K??? Plus I was planning on this drama with Bryn not so much with Kyler :)
