wow what a week!

So, I have not been blogging this week because we have had a very crazy week. However, our whole week is blogworthy!
So to get started, we started out the week packing like crazy. We had packed and hauled a few loads to the storage unit already, but still had a lot of things in the house that needed to be packed. On top of packing we still had a few last minute things we wanted to pick up to get ready to leave. Mostly a few airplane treats, a shirt or two and a new pair of shoes for Kyler. So after running around with our heads cut off trying to get everything done and get all the packing done, we finally had things under control enough to leave on Friday for a few hours. Friday April 25th was Bryn's dance recital. They were doing Snow White. Before the recital, we went to dinner at Chuck-a-rama. It was perfect for the kids because there is no waiting and they get to pick whatever they want to eat. So we had dinner and headed to Kingsbury Hall. They show was amazing. They all did a wonderful job, but of course I thought Bryn was the best part. Her class was they blue birds at the wishing well. She was so excited about the program, and she did a really good job. Her class was the youngest class, and the oldest were high school seniors. It was great. After the recital, we went staight to bed. Everyone was so exhausted. Then Saturday morning we loaded up the the trailer, cleaned the apartment and headed to Levan, where we will be until Tuesay when we head to the airport to fly out at 5pm. We go to JKF and spend the night there and leave at 6:50am and arrive in Dominica at 2:30pm. It will be a long trip and very exhausting. However, I am greatful for the few days of relaxing that we have had between moving out and flying out. So I guess this is it until we arrive in Dominica and I set the computer up. Check back next week and see what life if like for us them:)!

Was it a dream or reality???

First of all, for those who don't know, we have sold most of our furniture in preperation to move. Actually we have nothing left in our house. Erick and I have been sleeping on an air matress since Easter, and Bryn and Kyler are sleeping in the same bed, the only bed we still have. The problem: It is a full size bed and Kyler is not a "stay in one spot and never move all night long sleeper" like Bryn. So last night at about 3am Bryn came running in and woke me up. She ran in and started telling me Kyler was yelling at her, but he was still asleep. All I could say was, "Okay go back to bed." A few minutes later she was back and Kyler had "Kicked" (litterally) her out of bed. So I tried to talk her into laying on the floor by our "bed", but she didn't want that, she wanted me to go move kyler. So I got up and went in to find Kyler laying across the whole bed. He had both arms behind his head, looked like he was just kicken' it having a good old time. So I moved him hoping that we would not wake up. Then I went back to bed thinking I was finally going to get more sleep. Nope, a few minutes here comes Bryn again, Kyler was still yelling at her. I had no idea Kyler talked in his sleep. One more quality he picked up from his dad!

Take me out to the ballgame.....

Once again we have been teased by the weather. We had a few really nice days that just gets you hungery for summer and then the wind starts blowing and cools everything off again. However we took full advantage of the few days we got that were really nice.

If you don't already know Kyler is 100% BOY!!! He loves balls and bugs and teasing and climbing etc. But He really loves going to games, any game he doesn't care as long as it involves a ball. All winter everytime we passed the football stadium he would tell us about the last time we went there and got a hotdog and watched football, and then he would get it in his head that he wanted to go watch a game RIGHT NOW(and he is a very stubborn little boy)! So we went to few basketball games and that seemed to sufice the desire for a while.

As the day of Bryn's party was getting closer and closer she was getting more and more worried about what the boys were going to be doing! She needed to be sure that they had something to do so they would not be at the princess party. So I got online to see if I could find something for them to do and the Salt Lake Bees had their first home game that night. I immediatly bought tickets. This made Bryn very happy to know that not only did we have an idea, but actual tickets(that makes things more for sure) and it made Kyler happy to know he was going to a game. And he loved it! He wanted to know everything about what was going on. Erick had to explain it all, when a batter would srike out he wanted to know, "where that man going?" Anyway they had such a great time, that we decided as long as the weather was so nice we were going to go again. This time we all went. It was so much fun.
Right in the middle of the game, Erick decided to take the kids out to walk around for a minute and get some popcorn. Right after they left, a fly ball came right back at us, and I caught it. The funny thing is, that was all Erick had wanted for two days, was to catch a fly ball and as soon as he left I caught one:) Either way Kyler was happy! And we all had a good time at the game and enjoyed the really nice weather!

THE BIG PARTY

We had so much fun on Friday and Saturday (the 11th and 12th)!

All the girls got here at 3:00 and wow that was hard to wait the hour and half from after school until the party, but we made it! After everyone got here, the girls all played for a while, then it was time to go. Our first stop was McDonalds! Imagine me in McDonalds with five little girls all close to the same age. Yea, I got some FUN looks!!!

The next stop was Sweet and Sassy! And boy were we excited. The problem was, right when you walk in the door, they have TONS of girl stuff everywhere. And with 5 little shoppers it was hard to actually get the party started. So I told them we would shop after!

First stop was the dressing room. They let the girls pick out whatever dress up they wanted to wear.

After They had their dresses, they got dressed in them and headed to the "salon" where the girls got their hair done, nails painted, make up on, and a beautiful star on thier cheeks!

Next it was on to the BIG STAGE! where they were each crowned a princess and taught how to be a princess. They showed them how to bow, turn, wave and use thier wands! They also did a big round of the Hokey Pokey which was a huge hit!

After all the princess stuff was done, we went back to the dressing room to change and then head to the "cake room"! While we were in the changing room all five girls kept saying, "aunt Leslie, can we please come here again?" It was so cute. They all had so much fun they wanted to come again, and of course I promised them I would bring them again! So now on to the cake.

After we left Sweet and Sassy, we went back to Bryn's house and played, and watched a movie, and played and played! Needless to say they ALL had a lot of fun! They all slept in the front room with their sleeping bags and the next morning it was immediate playing again!

All our belongings---on thier way!

So we are hoping that we will see all these barrels again. This is how we shipped our things to Dominica! We purchased 6 55 gallon barrels, and filled them FULL with our things. Then we have a company named Tropical Shipping ship them for us. They picked them up at our house through Conway and will truck them to Florida and from Florida they are put on a boat and sent to the island. It takes about a month to get there, so we sent them the first week of April and hope we see them again!

Kyler as a "Worker Man"

Kyler loves to play with Mike when we go to Levan, and last weekend he had just gotten done with a side job, so he still looked like a "WorkerMan" as Kyler calls it. Mike was outside playing ball with him, and they set down for a minute and Kyler kept looking at Mike, and finally said, "Me wear that?" He was so happy to be a "Worker Man"! "Thanks Mike for being my bud!"

Doing the workers in Levan

Every time we go to Levan, the kids always want to go see all the animals. Kyler's got a favorite cow down there that he and Other one Grandma has named "Ol Black Face"! The last time we were down they got feeding them some grass and I was able to get a few good pictures of it! They are all BRAVE, until the cows come:)!!!!

This is "Ol Black Face"

Kyler's favorite place to be!
